Josef Mara was a Czech constructor and designer who is considered to be Josef Hůrka's successor at NAPAKO. As head of the development center, he continued the utilitarian design of his predecessor and focused on the use of new light sources in the newly designed table and floor lamps. He created more than 200 realized designs of luminaires, mostly produced in large series. For many clients and manufacturers, he also designed outdoor luminaires for public lighting of streets, public and social spaces and very successful types of park luminaires.
