Ladislav Žák (1900–1973)

He graduated from the Prague School of Applied Arts, where he was a pupil of prof. Josef Gočár. After 1928, he dealt with the design of tubular furniture and also with the issues of rational folk flats. He published his opinions, for example, in the magazine Žijeme 1931 and 1932. He realized his furniture designs, especially seating furniture and desks, in cooperation with the companies UP závody in Brno and also the company H. Gottwald.
